Even the warm weather, laser ablations of varicose veins are performed

The warm season is not an obstacle in the treatment of varicose veins by the method of laser ablation, says vascular surgeon Dr. Dimitar Golemanov. He has not stopped this procedure all summer and is often sought by Bulgarians who use their return to Bulgaria from abroad to treat their medical issue.

The physician and his team have performed several hundred laser ablation procedures at Acibadem City Clinic - Varna for the last 5 years. The rate of success in this method is about 98% and patients’ reviews are excellent.

Laser ablation is a mini-invasive operation where a laser fiber enters the vein and causes it to contract. Trauma and pain are minimal and the recovery period is short and easy to bear.

All symptoms of varicose veins are successfully treated by laser ablation: heaviness, swelling, pain, swelling of the legs, as well as cosmetic defects associated with the disease.

"It is good to break off the habit of adding salt to meals, or at least significantly reduce its intake. Good hydration is extremely important – one needs to drink at least 2 liters of water per day. It is a beneficial habit for tired legs to shower cold or cool water from the ankles to the hips. More exercise and sports are recommended, especially for people with family history”, Dr. Golemanov advises.
