Summary:
Dr. Hristova graduated Medicine from Sofia Medical University in 1989. From 1990 to 1997 she worked as a neurologist at Elin Pelin Hospital. She obtained a Specialty of Nervous System Diseases in 1998 and since then until 2000 she has been Head of the Neurological Department. Since 2001 she has been working at Nervous Diseases Department at St. Anna Hospital, Sofia. Dr. Hristova has certificates for Advanced Electroencephalography and Echography of Brain Circulatory System. She is a member of the Bulgarian Society of Neurology and the Society of Epilepsy. Every year she participates in qualification courses at the annual congresses of the Bulgarian and European Neurology Association. She has an extensive experience in conducting and validating thrombolytic therapy in the acute phase of ischemic stroke and intensive treatment of vascular patients.
